“609” Buffalo Grass is an open type grass, and less dense than Bermuda, St. Augustine or Zoysia. This variety only comes in sod, as it is a female only variety. It is a fine-textured, blue-green color grass, requires minimal maintenance and is drought tolerant. Without water, it will turn brown, but will survive until the rains return. All Buffalo Grass perform well in alkaline soils.
